Hostess: Liz Carter
President: Mary Sloat
It was with great pleasure that the members of the White Mountain Garden Club gathered on September 16 at the home of Catherine Lewis to present the winner of their 2009 fundraiser the quilt that had been made by its members. Kathy Hart, Banking Center Manager of Northway Bank in Groveton was the lucky winner. Kathy is very accomplished in craft work but had never done a quilt so was delighted with her win. The monies raised by the quilt chances will benefit local charities including various 4H Cooperatives, Copper Cannon Outdoor Educationn Center, Society for the Protection of NH Forests, Weeks State Park, Audobon Society of NH, the Nature Conservancy, New Hampshire Youth Services and various local towns that maintain public gardens. Pictures from left to right are Catherine Lewis, June Jones, Chairmen of our fundraiser and our winner Kathy Hart (this publicity article and photo were sent

The White Mountain Garden Club - Founded in 1924
by Mrs. Theodore Thomas (Rose Fay Thomas) - 1850-1926
Mrs. Thomas had a large group of friends and was well liked. She and her husband created a lovely garden, "Felsengarten" at their home in Bethlehem. This little "book" tells much about her kindness and consideration among her group of admirers.
